This is the first post on the EverydayGRC blog. Consider it a placeholder you can delete once you publish something real, but it also shows you exactly how a post looks once it's live.
What this blog is for
Most English-language security and compliance content is written for the US or EU market. Very little of it explains the parts that actually trip up companies operating in Japan: PrivacyMark (P-Mark), APPI, JIS Q 15001, and how these fit alongside the international standards like ISO 27001 that your enterprise customers already expect.
That gap is what this blog is here to fill.
What to expect
Expect practical, experience-based writing on things like:
- How PrivacyMark actually differs from ISO 27001, and when you need both
- Answering enterprise security questionnaires without burning out your engineering team
- Preparing for an audit in a way auditors accept and your team can maintain
- The specific compliance questions foreign companies hit when entering the Japanese market
